We are a Church of England congregation in the heart of Wesham, Lancashire, on a mission to grow together — people of all ages and stages of life — to become more like Jesus, and to faithfully serve our town while sharing the good news of His love.
Hi, my name is Jono and I lead Christ Church, I’m so glad you’re here! Along with my wife Amy, and our children Ava and Noah, we moved to Wesham in June 2025 from Blackpool, where I completed my ordination training through Emmanuel College and placed at Blackpool Church St Johns. As a family, we have always lived in the North West and we strongly believe God has such exciting things in store for this community.

If you’re visiting us, we’re a 5 min walk from Kirkham and Wesham railway station, 2min walk from Wyre Street bus stop on Station Road using Route 61, or if driving there is free parking on the various streets surrounding the church.

Children & Youth at Christ Church
We LOVE the life and vibrancy that children bring to every area of our church life!
Our children groups (ages 3-11) meet every Sunday, but at different times depending on which Sunday it is. The schedule is:
1st & 3rd Sundays @ the 9.30am service.
2nd & 4th Sundays @ the 4pm Service.
(Children stay in the service on other Sundays.)
We also hold:
Starfishes Baby & Toddler Group every Friday between 9am and 10.30am.
(Term time only)
Youth Group (Years 6-9) 1st & 3rd Sundays 5.30pm to 7.00pm.
We work hard to include and involve children fully, and for them to access everything on offer. To help us do this, please fill in our consent form. This ensures we have all of the information we need to register them for groups and events, and to keep them safe.

Safeguarding
Safeguarding is a top priority for us, and we are committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Blackburn’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
